Everyday People Make A Difference
is designed to support students as they learn about themselves, their role models and the importance of sharing their own gifts, talents and strength of character in service to their community. Students at every grade level have the opportunity to create a legacy by taking action, becoming part of a community, engaging in reflection and envisioning the future. As an extension of each school's efforts in language arts, social studies, other curricular areas, service learning, career development and character education, this program provides ideas and activities that can be are easily integrated into daily lessons while supporting students' multiple intelligences. The program includes student journals, teaching guides, video resources and other materials.

Celebrating Everyday Heroes helps demonstrate, by example, how caring, respect and responsibility can turn anyone into an "everyday hero." While many students may be aware of the concept of heroes in a broader sense, the activity kit helps students recognize characteristics of everyday people who choose to make a positive difference and celebrate heroic deeds both large and small. Celebrating Everyday Heroes encourages students to develop their inner heroes as they honor the individual contributions of everyday heroes in their lives.

Discovering Your Internal Job Description enables students to identify their "gifts and fascinations" and to reflect on how they can relate to finding purpose and fulfillment in a variety of career fields and life pursuits. The activity packet makes career assessment more meaningful, relevant and fun.

Paths and Possibilities engages parents as partners in helping young people identify and demonstrate their "gifts and fascinations." This publication encourages parents to use commonplace, everyday experiences to identify what motivates their children and captures their interests. Through school assignments, extracurricular activities, hobbies, community service projects, games, books, television programs and conversations with family, friends and role models, young people can begin to make critical connections that will enhance career exploration efforts.
