Thanks to a grant received by the Six District Educational Council, Partnerships Make A Difference is providing professional development/consulting services to support successful Service-Learning/Project Based Learning implementation for teams of teachers from Bolich and Roberts Middle Schools (Cuyahoga Falls City Schools).
The training/collaboration is designed to provide a solid foundational understanding of SL/PBL and allow participants to build capacity as SL/PBL practitioners skilled at incorporating analytical and creative thinking and problem solving while extending the curriculum into authentic projects with a strong focus on service-learning/PBL. In addition, there is an emphasis on the integration of career development and transition strategies connected to the service-learning/PBL project designs. The training model is designed to be highly interactive, sustained, intensive, and classroom-focused while using varied learning experiences, including collaboration activities, video clips, hands-on experiences, online activities and research, integration of technology as appropriate. |
